Central Idea: Christ is the best so don’t settle for less or add more.
 
Purpose: To challenge people with the exclusivity of Jesus.
  1. Christ is a better prophet to lead us to perfect rest (1:1 – 4:13)
  2. Christ is a better priest to lead us to the throne of grace (4:14 – 7:28)
  3. Christ founded a better covenant to offer forgiveness (8:1 – 10:18)
  4. Christ provides a better hope to encourage us in our current struggles (10:19 – 12:29)
  5. Christ calls us to a better fellowship to strengthen one another in the faith (13:1-25)

    1. Provide us with our material needs (6:11).
    2. Pardon our personal failures (6:12).
    3. Protect us from our spiritual enemy (6:13a).

    Purpose: To challenge Christians to battle evil through prayer.
    1. We cry out for God's name to be treated as holy because we know it will (Mt. 6:9).
    2. We cry out for God's kingdom to be consummated because we know it will (Mt. 6:10).
    3. We cry out for God's will to be obeyed universally because we know it will (Mt. 6:10).
