Central Idea: Scripture is the root of reformation
 
Purpose: To challenge Christians with the importance of Scripture.
  1. Our attitude toward the Scriptures must be reverence (8:1-5).
  2. Our preparation for the Scriptures must be submission (8:6).
  3. Our use of the Scriptures must be expository (8:7-8).
  4. Our response to the Scriptures must be repentance (8:9).
  5. Our encouragement from the Scriptures leads to celebration (8:10-12).
